ETHICAL SOURCING

Building A Future
With Farmers

Our success is linked to the success of the farmers and suppliers who grow and produce our products.

Whether it’s coffee, tea, cocoa or manufactured goods, we’re committed to offering ethically sourced, high-quality products. We take a comprehensive approach to ethical sourcing, including economic, social and environmental standards; on-the-ground farmer support and open-source agronomy; industry collaboration; and community development programs. This is an investment in our supply chain and in the livelihoods of the farmers and suppliers with whom we work, as well as in their communities.

We take great care in how and where the products for our stores are manufactured, and we’re committed to sourcing from suppliers who align with our values of social and environmental responsibility.

We first began buying cage-free eggs in the UK in 2008 and we have achieved 100% cage free in the following European markets where we operate - U.K., France, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and Ireland. We are working towards a goal to certify all eggs used in our European stores as cage-free by 2020.
